Alena Phillips was born and raised in Osceola, IA. She has always had a passion for educating children. In 2014, she graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in early childhood and reading. She taught at Clarke Elementary for 7 years. Alena is married to Ryan Phillips and they have two children, Aria and Cain. Alena and her family love to spend time on their farm, watch the Iowa Hawkeyes, go camping and boating, and travel to warm places.
K-7th Bible, History, & English Language Arts
Sarah Mayhew graduated from Graceland in 2009 with a history major, political science minor, and coaching and teaching certificates. After college Sarah taught and coached in various school districts across the country until becoming a Mom in 2016. Matt and Sarah have three sons; Abel, Frankie, and Vinny and two dogs, Rex and Rooster. Sarah loves camping and going on vacation with her family as much as possible.
K-7th Math & Science
Kelly S. Myers received her B.S. in Secondary Education - General Science from York College of Pennsylvania, M.Ed in Science Education from Northeastern State University - Tahlequah, and has Master Educator licensure in Iowa. She is NASA Endeavor STEM certified and is passionate about including Science and Agriculture in her classroom. Kelly has held a variety of education roles including Dean of Students, TLiM Coordinator, athletic coach, club/activity/class sponsor and multiple teacher leadership and mentoring roles. During her 18 year career, she has been privileged to serve students in the Des Moines Public School system, the Interstate 35 Community School District, the Carlisle Community School District, the Clarke Community School District and the Murray Community School District. Kelly is married to Wade Myers and they have three children, Jack, Allison and Charlotte. She enjoys time at home with her family on their farm, all things nature, reading and cheering on the Penn State Nittany Lions!
